The graffiti-like exaggerated angles and theme of this piece, combined with its glittery colouration and bold white highlights place the picture among your
heavyteeth-styled works, although your trademark hodgepodge badges have always shared those distinctive qualities.
The anti-gravity cat alone is an example of why we can have nice things, with jubilant rounded eyes and a chipper disposition despite its precarious alignment, but the overhanging hyena character is just too much awesome not to merit a few hymns of praise. The grumpy, composedly disgruntled look complements the ominous slouch of its owner very neatly, and
...And I'd been having nagging suspicions about the hyena's design when I finally deigned to read the description - it's Fishyboner, alright. In one of her tamer and more subdued depictions, I might add, and also one that is very darkly brooding. In general, I believe the harmony of colours in this piece to be especially finely tuned, despite how unlikely a marriage it is. All those bright orange background amoebas and dry, tweed earth tones of clothes and the backdrop prop, all pitched up wonderfully with the gaunt purples and blues of Fishyboner's body.
