They are such awesome birds :) I've been lucky (well, if you've worked with herons before... unlucky is a more fitting term, but I love birds even when they want to kill me) to work with them via wildlife rehab. They have... amazing spunk!

Ugh, lucky! They're so big and amazing and I love them. I just like watching them in rivers or the bay and them grabbing at fish or chilling out. I don't think I'd want to be close to one though...might peck my face off.

Seeing herons out in the wild is one of the most cool and calming things. You'd see them quite frequently near our place in Colorado since there was a lake close by. They're one of my favorite kind of birds. :>
