I've only met this one, but he's smart and pushy, a bastard when he wants to be, only really affectionate when he wants something. Willful and independant. I do still like him though. :) How much of this was his upbringing I can't say...his previous owner rescued him from an abusive owner in mexico (she tells me).
Yeah, but wierdly not very much like human skin...he's kinda rubbery.
When he settles in the middle of the bed and you try to shove him out of the way it's like he's GLUED there. :) And he makes the silliest noise when he shakes, a SLAPSLAPSLAPslapslapslap as his ears and then his male bits smack against his body. So undignified!

Sometimes he growls at MY boyfriend, and he should REALLY know better than that! He has a tiny dog brain. |)
The flip side is that he doesn't seem to hold a grudge...he'll growl and bark at some people and then an hour later he'll curl up next to them on the couch. And then when they stand up he growls again. I think he's just cueing on particular shapes or body language that he has a bad association with...at least that's the most plausable explanation I can come up with!
