After some serious re-editing I finally switched from a point system to a money system: now characters and bows can be unlocked with money and different types of arrows are available. For now I've got five characters witch different strengths and weaknesses (I'm still planning on adding more (male ones too^^)). Same goes for bows and arrows. At some point I'll draw some prettier backgrounds. Also, I'm going to include new challenges on 'Very Hard' and a kind of targeting assistance on 'Very Easy' and onetime powerups.

New character (Snow), new arrow (Arrow of Light), improved interface (better descriptions), slightly improved graphics (Luna, Carmen and Sandy's waist and hips are a little more accentuated), fixed a few bugs (the Sharpshooter's Bow's aim was a little off among other stuff)...^^
Ironically, I'm not very good at the game either^^
One little trick is to find the spot where you hit the target with full power (a little above the targetdisk on 'very easy'; on difficulties above 'easy' you'll have to adjust for wind). That way you can earn enough money to buy a better bow and unlock other chars (which in turn makes hitting the target easier ;)

It kinda reminds me a bit of Angry Birds or other games in this genre... there's a MLP one called I think Spike Toss that works like this too that I got good at after awhile!
The big difference there was I had a larger area to aim and could see more to figure out my trajectory!
I'll keep trying! I did make a few arrows hit the target but I basically spammed the same shot angel and power level...
Everytiem I did a full power shot even while nearly aiming strait up it over shot the targets!

Initially, I thought about showing the whole stretch but then I'd have to scale the archer down as well to a point where the animations would be too small to discern. I am currently trying to think of a way to provide different views though...
By the way, it's a lot easier to hit the target with angles below 45 degrees (10 degrees seem to hit the spot on 'very easy' ;)

Hm...I'll have to rewrite a lot of code but I was planning to anyway...
Incidentally, the camera never actually moves, but rather the world moves around the fixed camera^^
If aiming the arrow horizontally is 0 degrees and aiming vertically upwards is 90 degrees, then aiming 10 degrees on very easy should hit the middle :)

Yeah, I figure that'd probaly have to be done... not a programmer but I know that's a lot of work...
