Nanoria - character-lineup

I've been brain-storming ideas for this story, even trying to picture a sprite-style, and gameplay for a game idea for it. I kinda picture it being a fusion of Kingdom Hearts, Legend of Mana, and beat-em-ups in general--ugh, maybe I should draw some of these ideas to keep track of them better... < <;
Anyway, I thought of two more main characters, so I wanted to share them and see what you guys think. ...That is, if you say anything--here lately it's been really quiet around here. No opinions, no nothing...I guess I rely on people's input more than I realized. - -;
You've already met Aerahn and Strayde, but now I'll briefy introduce you too Helena Aebrams, and Jasmyn Nettles.
Helena Aebrams: 17 yrs.
A young woman from a well off family, and class president of Hope Springs High's Class A, and voted most likely to succeed in polls.
She has a bit of a thorny personality, and wields a whip to farther compliment her style--short, sweet, and painful.
Her whip has an electric-type conduit built in, to give her 'prey' a quick jolt of electricity.
Dislikes bad hair days, flab, and fashion-disasters.
Jasmyn Nettles: 15 yrs.
This sweet young lady hails from Fragile Peak, Aerahn's home-town for seven years, before he abruptly moved back to Hope Springs.
Upon learning for herself that Aerahn had amnesia, she convinced her parents she had to follow him.
She has a very soft spot for Aerahn, helping him as best she can to restore his memories, and perhaps win his heart in the process.
Among her hobbies are singing, playing the piano, and--ahem--being with her sweet-heart.
She wields a microphone-based short-stave that has a hidden blade, which extends to rapier length.
Likes romance novels, J-Pop, and animated movies--dislikes brussel sprouts, being reminded of her petite frame, and crude humor.
Ashton Skeill: 19 yrs.
One of Hope Springs High's best athletes, and champion of the annual School competitions two years in a row.
This fiery young fox has it in for Strayde, for reasons unknown. He studies Kung-Fu, and gymnastics to ease his temper, and help improve his mobility.
In his spare time, he can usually be found meditating, or training with his bo-staff.
His older brother Keldin is the coach of HS High's Basketball team, the 'Armored Pauldrons'.
Likes Silence, an honorable match, and Kung-Fu movies--dislikes children crying, repetition in daily life, and whips(here's looking at you Helena~)
Fuyuki Sazura: 14 yrs.
A young Japanese martial arts student whose parents went missing one night. Currently being taken care of by Helena until they are found.
She's usually a reserved child, but she has a short fuse for certain topics, especially when she hears someone complaining about their parents and loved ones.
Adept at using Tonfas, and martial-arts, she can keep her opponent on his toes with her quick movements, and is quite merciless for her petite size.(And Jas thought she was short)
Likes Ramen noodles, anime, and murder mysteries--but she dislikes choppy animation, most US pastas, and romance.
Morpha Transys: 7 yrs.--but appears to be 17.
The 14th byproduct of a special experimental species meant for if men and women are hard to come by.
They are designed with aspects of men and women from creation, and adapt to whichever side chosen, absorbing the other half of their mentality to adapt.
Morpha, a confused young creature, isn't sure what it wants to be, displaying mixed reactions and sentences from both sexes, often resulting in an awkward silence.
She wants to make friends, but has a hard time doing so due to her social awkwardness--perhaps Aerahn and company can teach her, and help her find her way...?
Fights by morphing her body into different weapons/shapes--for example turning her arm into a large set of razor-sharp teeth, and biting her target.
Likes experiencing new things, and dislikes video games, due too having no clue what she's doing...
*Phew*That's seven out of eight main chararcters, so the cast is almost ddone--how is it so far?
I had fun designing Morpha, I think she would be an interesting character to write dialogue--she turned out looking a bit cat-like, but I meant for her to be a dog. Xp
Please spread the word for this, to at least see if I can get some input--I want to write it, but I don't know if anyone would be interested in reading it. D:

Well, about that--I've actually never imagined opening commissions, since it isn't exactly my own custom style in the first place. It's heavily based on Tales of VS, Hearts, and even ND3--plus, several of my own touches. While it feels like it's mine, I'm not really sure if it is or not. < <;
Not to mention how tardy I am when it comes to getting things done--like I'm flip-flopping from what I need to be doing to what I want to do. Something I need to work with.
...All that aside though, if you'd like, we can set up an art-trade later on down the road. That's up to you, but I'm willing if you are. 'w'

That's an interesting cast so far! However, for the sake of diversity, do you think you would consider making some of the females not, well, slim and fit? You vary the builds of males quite well, you could very well break some stereotypes by having some of the females have different body types as well. :3

Haha, no worries--no offense taken here. I'm kinda hard to offend unless I'm getting bashed. XD
I just didn't feel that it was necessary this time--it's something I plan on working with though, I just wanted to focus on the usual type in this series since I was working with things I admire/love, such as anime for an example. I suppose I did follow a trend a bit too closely, but I can assure you that I'll be attempting to diversify builds later on--maybe a pixel or two here and there would help?
Either way, I'm glad you like--if it were you, what type of changes do think you would make? It could help me for future reference. 'w'

Yeah, it makes sense--I tried to diversify their builds a bit, though it's kinda hard to tell unless you look really close.
For example, Jasmyn uses the usual short and slim build I love using, whereas I tried making Helena seem a bit more, er--broad-breasted, if you know what I mean.
Morpha's arms cover her waist-line, but I actually made her a bit more curvy than the other girls--though, that isn't much in the long run. ^ ^;
Though, before this cast, I did make Kiera a heavy set girl--she's in the Dragon-Vale submission.

Aw, thanks Aei--it takes me some time to design all the characters, but it's fun to sort of imagine my own games and stuff, since I can't code or anything.
