This is awesome. My hubs and I wanted to participate in something similar. Local bee keepers set up a few hives in your yard depending on the space you have to offer, then at the end of the season they give you a 1lb jug of honey for free. They did all the collecting and dirty work.
Would of been nice to have been able to do it, especially with all the free pollination of our gardens from those little buzzers would of done for us.
I think this is awesome you guys do this as well! So telling my husband about your adopt a colony promotion and see if anyone offers something similar out here. You guys rock!
