A request I made for a fellow Imgurian who enjoyed my work! The red fox pictured is named Wesley Morris Jr., the son of a once-wealthy car salesman--that is, before the stock market crashed. Then-18-year-old Wesley took it upon himself to remove himself as a burden from the household and go east to the city to try and make some money. Now 20 years of age and with no more than a few cents to his name, Wesley whittles away his time rolling cheap cigarettes and looking for work. He--and everyone in this Hooverville-- looks like they could go for a serious drink right about now.
Too bad Prohibition doesn't end 'til 1933.
