Wanted to share some pictures of the little sweetheart that we lost this morning... Hopefully share how sweet and amazing this little kitty was before he passed.
Top picture is from this weekend, before we took Mikey with us to watch him for the night before he went to his foster home. He liked to roam but we were afraid he would run away again to try to find his Mom...
The bottom picture was the accommodations he had while in his crate on the farm. I believe that was just after he was fed, hence why the food bowl is absent in the picture.

The best part to us was... My friend, who was planning on fostering him (who wound up wanting to keep him after the first fifteen minutes of him being in her home) has her two cats wearing harnesses already. They go outside on the leash all the time so it was a perfect match. He looked like their sibling who had been adopted to another home, he was just as chill and would walk on the leash.
It's hard to tell because of his fur... But he was really malnourished. His mom goes hunting a lot and abandoned him, he tried following her out into the corn fields and got lost. He was gone for about a week with very little food and definitely no milk from Mom. We (and a vet we had called that got back to us later this morning, after he had already passed away) think it may have just finally gotten to the point where his body just deteriorated on itself. We got him to gain a few pounds after we got him back but the damage had already been done. :( It really took us by surprise... We thought we finally had him safe.
