Mua (moo-ah): (Closed species for now- Kemonomimi only)
Mua's are remnants of an old Legend passed down through certain family circles. They are NOT known outside of these circles by the public.
They are a creation of a Beast God having come to Earth to restore balance. Though, having become too powerful for even the land itself, the Beast feared that it would consume everything living, including the humans who so lovingly worshiped it. In order to prevent this, the Beast sealed itself away, dispersing it's soul across the world to trusted clans. In it's wake, Mua's were created in order to help create balance by consuming demons that poisoned humans.
>>Appearance:
- Mua's generally have ears and a tail (in representation of the Beast God) in which the color pattern matches their hair color.
- Most Mua's take after the Beast in Wolf forms. Felines are uncommon and are considered unlucky.
- Only people within the family circle can see their ears and tail
>> Life Cycle:
- Mua's life cycles are slightly slower than humans but they are constantly reborn after death, trapped in a cycle of reincarnation/rebirth.
- They are reborn as children (Age 6)
>> Power within the Eye (ShiKi)
- Each one has 1 eye that is sealed (and normally hidden), only an Aruji (Master) whom they pledge their souls can unseal their power.
- Only in the presence of their master can they open it normally. They cannot open it otherwise.
- All Mua's ShiKi are silver/grey/black unless consuming negative energy, then they take on the color of demon they've consumed.
- They can also see color that surrounds humans but because of this aren't brought into large populated areas as they will become disoriented.
Red / Black: When a demon has completely consumed a human soul, Mua's will consume the entire being. This process is very taxing and incapacitates a Mua until their bodies can purify the entity.
Pink /White/Silver: Pure souls
Blue: Influenced but not a threat | Green: Influenced and a threat
