Wow i love this artwork my wonderful sister 
Rikku did for me of one of my all time favorite fairy stories and i love Borrowers costumes:) Borrower is about a gruop of Tiny People that borrow items from human beans (humans XD) and hide away from humans and try to live there daily borrowing lives without being spotted
This is my favorite costume from the many versions of borrowers costumes. The costume is from the 1997 Movie version and i love it soooo muchies and i am going to be making this costume for Sylphie cos she looks awesomely cute in it:) Arrietty's costume is made with huge buttons and scraps of (borrowed) material and omg those sooper cute bubble shoes XD, hair also done the same 'squeeee'

The detail on this artwork is amazing with a cute Monarch butterfly, the teapot from the books/series just missing Rikku as Spiller XD
Also art done in Rikku's favorite artist Alphonse Mucha art Nouveau style with a anime/manga twist XD

I loved the Ghibli version so muchies too. The costume were not very good tho and I just love this versions costumes soooo muchies. The tv series is really good too from the early 90s we researched them recently and it's sooo good:)

Every adaptation has something good going for it, as long as it largely stays true to the spirit of the source-material.
If I wanted an adaptation that was a carbon-copy of the source-material, I'd stick with the source-material. But I must admit, Ghibli knocked their version out of the park... as they do with, oh, just about everything they do.
