I'm surprised Silver hasn't displayed some level of jealousy. Guess that shows how understanding he is.

You do realize he's in constant pain, painkillers do not work or are not as effective against him, and he's deathly afraid of getting hooked on narcotic pain killers like opiates and morphine. Alchohol is the "safest" thing that works on him. It's self medicating by this point, I wouldn't judge him based on the fact he happens to enjoy his medication.

There's the side note that he pretty much should be dead already from how much alcohol his body is trying to cope with, but as we all know Hector cannot be permitted to die. He still has some suffering to do, as the Gods' favorite elven chew toy.

On the other hand, Hector is probably the only one who could drink a Pan-Galactic Gargleblaster and not black out even the slightest :)

He'd probably complain about diluting that 'Ol Janx Spirit by mixing it into a cocktail in the first place.
