Told ya...it's a cello^^
I really like those two figurines together: Allie (
BigAllie) with a smile and her head held high seems to be playing something happy, upbeat. Luna on the other hand with her sort of sad expression and drooping ears is probably playing something sad yet equally beautiful.
Together one might assume the result should sound like a terrible cacophony...but now imagine they are taking turns, one playing a happy and one a sad melody with different tempo and scales, yet both melodies complement each other...like two people taking turns in telling their story...

*Drawing out the last note the vixen sighs while a single tear trickles down her furry cheek. Secretly, however, the corners of her mouth are twitching as if trying to hide a smile as she winks at Allie. Did you see the single tear? And the drooping ears? her wink seems to say, why, I could almost be an actress.* ^.-
*Enchanted by the music the dragon draws from her instrument Luna listens and sighs. Only when Allie clears her throat and wakes her from her dreamy state does the vixen realize that the music has stopped and it's actually her turn to play. Luna grins apologetically and readies her instrument. The tune she plays is still sad but now also has a few hopeful and carefully optimistic parts.*
*Baffled by the unearthly fast music, almost hypnotized by the blurred movements of the bow the vixen stares at Allie. Only when the dragon has finished does she realize that her jaw has dropped open. A little embarrassed she snaps it shut and clears her throat.*

*Luna smiles as she wipes off a drop of sweat from her forehead.*
'Nah, it's okay...it was fun jamming with you and then I just wanted to see how good you are. Besides, Carmen is actually the musically gifted one, though, with the harp instead of the violin...'^^
*She laughs.*
'...but you know, gimme 80 years to catch up to you and then we'll have a re-match.' :D
