More musical ponies from Everfree Northwest! First we had Scratch http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11040958/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11040980/ and now we have Octavia. From the first time I saw her in season one I've always found Octavia to be fascinating pony. Heck she appeared in my Equestria dreamscape as an important background character at one point http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7859710/ .
The top sketch is concept I may explore as final color piece, but I may change the camera angle so the neck of the cello is not sprouting out the back of her head. The middle one sketch is inspired by a piece John Joseco did a year or so ago http://johnjoseco.deviantart.com/ar.....avia-258734896 . Maybe I'll a color piece of it someday.

They'd have to use two hooves, presumably either side of the head, so less devils' corna and more adorable and ridiculous bunny ears. More in keeping with the setting? Perhaps.
Whenever I see the combination of Octavia and rock, I think about the band Apocalyptica, a finnish band that can only be described as cello metal. They rock out pretty much like any metal band, but instead of bass guitar, they use bass violins. I imagine them and similar symphonic metal bands like Nightwish to be Octavia's guilty pleasure. Heck, I could totally picture her as a big ELO fan.
