Artemis makes a very effective interrogator, no? This has gone beyond Hector at this point, although in the last panel, I do believe she is finally asking the right question.

I'm definitely happy not to be Cobalt.... and am making a mental note to try to never tick Artemis off.

The lady doesn't care much for Cobalt's pathetic little lies, especially to himself. Even if he would have done as he said, it does not excuse the evil he did. Nothing justifies evil. Only repentance can justify the wicked.

Hmmmm.... the thing here is that we are judging Cobalt on our moral terms for his actions..... and there is a gulf between our morals and theirs.... sure, there are those who may rise above the standards they have, but Cobalt did not have the bravery or madness to buck the system until the situation got beyond him and even then it was a pretty ineffectual attempt....... like many a 'small man' given a modicum of power, his moment in the spotlight as Silver's replacement got him too excited and it just made his fall even more confusing for him.... I think he honestly may believe what he says...... and as for clothing, we know many people dress pets up in clothing and those animals can show fear so this is not a conclusive fact either..... and as indelicate as his question was, it is actually better for Artemis that he asks her direct than having him try to casually ask someone ho is not privy to Artemis secret "So tell me, do all of you have these blood components that can cure all, or is it only Hector's friend, Artemis?".... it keeps her secret safely amongst those who already know.

But as Artemis seems to gather herself, she has got to the point now..... could anyone else have a good reason.... well, any reason at all to poison Hector? Even the reasons attributed to Cobalt so far are not particularly strong and somewhat contradictory..... unless he was suicidal....
