I was making this picture to celebrate the fourth of July, Independence Day, when the French helped the American colonies kick what few soldiers Britain could spare off of their colonies, when I thought of something: If cultural dilution is anything to go by, our modern holidays will have changed before too long. In the time in which my series takes place, the fourth of July is remembered for one thing: Fireworks. And since the Fire chakra is strongest in the summer, Fire Day is celebrated on the summer solstice with flame-themed decorations and newSkin suits and, guess what, Fireworks! Here, Mika Ötter is playing with some sparklers and a powerful firecracker.
