Seriously, I don't really know if there is anything (this side of porn) online that can actually make real money, but I'm losing my mind! I'm considering porn, but I don't think my mate would allow/do it. I'm not at risk of homelessness or have medical bills or anything, I just want to be able to get my own cigarettes & food and other stuff. I'm tired of getting by with $0 and every time I look for a job I end up crying!
Tonight my mate got a "gig" as a seat filler, a SEAT FILLER! Did I mention we both applied and that they are paying people to SIT IN A SEAT AND WATCH A PRESENTATION? Why am I not good enough to sit in a seat? To make it worse, as soon as I heard about him getting that, I decided to check cheaigslist & guess what? The pizza place that is opening.. that I applied for, went into TWO interviews for and was like 90% sure I had the job, until they didn't call me on callback day (and didn't answer my call the day after) HAS POSTED ANOTHER LISTING LOOKING FOR PEOPLE FOR THE JOB I APPLIED FOR!!
I have never felt so useless, or like such a burden in my life, it's been OVER A MONTH NOW and nothing! I feel like trash, like I'm completely worthless. Dozens of jobs, every kind of job, not even McDonalds wants me, what is wrong with me? What do I do?
I just want to be able to go somewhere and have fun. I just want enough money for a proper date! Me and my mate have been together for 3 YEARS and still haven't been to the movies together! I feel bad, he just got a FA, he finally uses it and now he's gonna see this in the morning from me when he's been trying to make me feel better about all of it all night....
I'm sorry, I didn't mean for this to end up being a vent, the bottom line is if ANYONE has or knows someone who has any kind of odd internet job I could do, or knows of something in Grove City, Ohio (did I mention we can't work anywhere outside of town because my mate's car is going to break down any day?) I WILL DO ANYTHING! I don't care how menial or how little it pays! Don't think I can do it? I'm a fast learner, maybe I can & I won't tell you I can if I can't, I never need money enough to rip somebody off. I can write, maybe I could write something for something? I'll write for a penny a word, I'll write for a penny every five words, I just need to feel like I'm not a burden anymore!
Please, if you can't help any other way, spread the word!

Try Amazon Mechanical Turk... It's just surveys and other mindless stuff mostly, but you can make a couple hundred bucks if that's really your only option and you spend some time on the site. I was bored last summer and cranked out like $300 in a few weeks.
But really it sounds like you need to find yourself a real job... what kind of education do you have? Like it or not it seems like you need a degree to get a good job with the economy the way it is, or at least a high school diploma... when you go into these interviews, how do you present yourself? Like dress professionally, all that stuff?

I'm 31, so higher education is kind of out of the picture. I did graduate high school (NO GED) and I dress nice (black slacks, hair up in a bun, make up, black button down shirt) and go in as professional and eager to work as I possibly can... everybody acts like I'm perfect for the job and then never call back & lead me on when I call them.
Looks like you're really beating yourself down over the job issue, instead of stressing over it, just try to enjoy your per-longed vacation, and whatever you do don't sound needy, or desperate, or begging, or in any sort of bad financial situation when on an interview.
It's a very high number rule of any Human Resource Dpt to not hire people who seem needy, because they fear they'll be unreliable.
And even if they do hire you, they'll offer you meager pay because they know you're desperate for it.
You might think you pretend not to show it, but if you don't feel care free, the HR human metrics experts will always see though your disguise.
Also don't just look for jobs in Ohio, look for them all over the place, if a job offers you a internship, it'll be worth repairing the car to get there, and possibly even move there some day.
Oh and one last thing, you said you're over 30, I am almost certain that places like McDonald's and the sort don't hire you, not because you aren't worthy, but because you're over 30, that's, sadly, also a rule of HR departments... But at least it means that you aren't useless, you just need to find a job that doesn't have an age limit, try to write news columns or reviews and send them to magazines, or even start your own word press site and see how much traffic you can get with your writing work... :)
