Soooo... I got this new drawing book, mainly because it has a lot of techniques for using Copics, as well as blending markers with various other media like gel medium (which I never would've thought to try). It also had beautiful examples of different ways to light characters and how to use color. I think my problem so far with this sort of thing is that I've learned all things I should be using when it comes to color and light, but I just haven't practiced applying most of that knowledge, so when I go to color things for fun I revert to muscle memory and doing whatever I want with it. X3 Anyway, this was my first attempt at the complimentary colors tutorial. The example used green reflected light and red shadows. Since I'm already mostly red/orange I decided to go with yellow and purple instead. Mostly I learned to NEVAR use that shade of yellow like that AGAIN! Lol. But other than that I think the rest of it is alright. I took this pic with my phone so the glitter over her eyes would show up. The Copic Spica pens never scan unfortunately. :/
