Spike's race are known to make tiny technology like the nanite controll devices that have been used on the ailens in the past. So he's the go-to for repairing Silver's translator.
Silver's Translations:
Can't you just… put it back in?
how long is this going to take for you
to make this?
I hate this, I can't understand anyone but a spy snake, steele and Doodle when she talks in our language.
Please get it done as quickly as you can.

I knew I liked Spike for a reason.... why I liked a spy was confusing me but now that I find he is seems o be a better tech than spy, I know why.
As for poor Artemis, this is beginning to look like one of those times her curse will save her while possibly damning her.... poor fox does not seem to deserve this. At least she is trying to make sure they underestimate her as much as possible....

Hmm... if ferrets were intelligent enough, we could defer the advancement of microelectronics and nanotechnology to them. With the right adjustments or adaptations to their anatomy, using either genetic alteration or technology, they'd be able to hold and manipulate the components with ease.
.....hmm. Perhaps I should submit ideas to R&D.

Something tells me we'll be getting more Sirenidae in the future, and as critters who are exensively trained in making these devices, id rather trust the alien race from which the tech originated from than a handful of feral ferrets, besides it would take quite a bit of genetic modification alone to make a critter that size intelligent to the point it could do something like that.
