Pro tip: if you want a good mascot, get a furry to build it. =.=

I don't even know where you'd go to get a professional mascot like this one made. If I ever do get my otter suit, I'm not going to consider those people anyway.

Poke around FA. There are some amazingly talented fursuit makers around here. Some of them are easily more skilled at what they do than professional costume makers.

Oh, I know that! I follow several of them because I admire their work. There's all kinds of talent among fursuit makers! Furry fandom benefits from their skill and talent at every convention and many larger meets, while fursuit walks are the best publicity we have.

In fact, I don't recall having ever seen a fursuit as bad as this guy, although I've seen what are obviously retired mascot costumes at cons that I'd rather not have seen. (To be fair though, I've seen at least one retired mascot costume that I mistook for a fursuit. They're not all bad.)

No, they're not really. The mascot costume for my high school (which was an eagle) wasn't too terrible, tbh. And then, of course, there are the Disney characters which are usually pretty stellar. At least imo anyhow.

I thought at one time that they had a dragon for a mascot when they got the dragon roller coaster. Seems like the only good parts on Beastly are the feet. Too bad that Centreville won't open up and have a special day for letting us fursuiters roam around the park.

Apparently though, Beastly is a bear, 'cause there he is. Maybe the dragon mascot was just for the first year they had that roller coaster? Honestly, Cornwall would make a great mascot! He's cute and friendly looking and big enough that anyone from your size to Skyrider's could wear him, (possibly with some cooling if they're skinny enough.) I know you're busy earning a living, though...

As for your "special fursuit day," I wonder if anybody has ever proposed it to Centreville management. They might even consider it, if there was a reason to. It can't hurt to ask, can it?
