Fujiko: The Unseen
She has no past. Alban found her in a dark alleyway in an nondescript part of Rabanastre, wearing nothing but rags and nothing that could give any indication of an identity. Emaciated and battered, Alban felt obligated to take her to his inn, where for days he used his White Magic to restore her health. When she was well, he discovered that she had no clue of anything before the first time she saw him. He gave her the name "Fujiko" from a name he heard overseas for quiet women, which she proved to be by speaking little in the short time he'd known her.
Thinking that state authorities wouldn't care enough to actually help in this case, Alban took up the mantle to help Fujiko with her amnesia. Unfortunately, the trail went cold as soon as it started. There was no clue found where she was discovered, and no trusted informants could give a shred of fact.
During these investigations, Alban noticed something odd about Fujiko. She followed him to all his destinations, and yet he never saw her follow, nor did anyone he spoke to. She remained hidden in ways that, Alban imagined, would have taken years of training and environmental awareness. Over the course of a few days, she had also made clothing out of scrap odds and ends. The designs were of unusual origin and all in dark hues. When Alban approached her on this, she said it was all reflex to her situation, a compulsion to make do with what she had to survive. However no memory was sparked in these accoutrements.
Because the goal of identity was an utter failure, Alban asked for her to travel with him in his occupation as White Mage for hire. Fujiko hesitated, not seemingly out of opinion but out of shock of being asked for her company. Their first mission together actually found Alban in combat with some bandits that attacked him while administering aid to a tired caravan in the deep desert.
(By the way: Don't think I ever established this here on FA, but Alban is a White Mage/Fighter that uses a Monk's Spade in combat.)
The fight seemed to become one sided, as it came down to Alban versus a dozen ferocious thieves. But as he continued to hold his ground, he noticed them begin to fall one by one. As he distracted them in head to head combat, some unknown agent was sabotaging the thieves' front, tripping them with wire, rolling boulders and barrels from the caravan onto them, and even sundering the straps of their armor and gear. This all to great effect as they began to lose the ability and will to fight their single foe. They soon retreated thinking an angry spirit was upon them. When the dust settled, Alban became worried as he couldn't find Fujiko. Though this was a common problem with her, he was worried since he had never had to have her around during combat before. It was then he realized that the fight had been won because of an unseen foe.
Alban coaxed Fujiko to come out, saying he and the entire caravan would be grateful for everything she did to save their lives. She did finally come out to retrieve her caltrops and wires, but she was afraid to show her face to anyone. She was ashamed because she had no idea where her abilities came from. That they may always remain a mystery and that her reasons for being who she is may be something sinister.
But the Mage wiped her tears away, and told her that it didn't matter where they came from, but that she was there now and that this was her rebirth from whatever she was before no matter what it may have been. Truly he wanted her to open up to him about what she thought about everything, to show that she was a person no matter what kind of memories will never come to light.
So they became an inseparable pair, Alban always asking her opinion of things both mundane and spectacular, both to keep her mind off of her unknown past and to show her what kind of a person she truly was. Though immensely shy, she has a strong sense of order to all things. She enjoys cycles of nature, the organization structures of societies and talking of the flows of life through this existence.
Currently, Alban and Fujiko are founding members of the clan of the Moogle, Lakunas. With access to many exotic supplies, she has created a vast assortment of equipment and weapons to match her unique skills. She also helps Lakunas in his quest for the ultimate clothing, as she is becoming an accomplished seamstress. For the sake of legality and to give her full status in legal systems, she officially adopted the name "Fujiko" and became Alban's adopted sister, as she felt that it was her destiny in life to be his "sibling" in her new identity.
She dislikes being looked at by anyone except Alban, and will freeze up whenever she is spotted when not in an life-or-death situation. She wears a mask a majority of the time to counteract this, a mask she made out of one of Alban's old robes.
EDIT: noticed I didn't draw her wings. But I think this works. Her wings are smaller than average, making moogle-style flight impractical. She keeps them bound to her back. I don't think any of my Moogles fly, as Lakunas and Glenn are so chubby and Kiri's too vain to do it XD
