With a grumbled sigh, Kyowai pushed himself away from his desk and the small mountain of reports, dossiers and generally tedious paperwork; his chair gave a near inaudible squeak as he pivoted himself toward the broad, pane-glass window behind him, showcasing an impressive view of the ever productive Black Citadel below. Frowning, the Centurion only gave the scenic view a furtive glance before digging into an inner pocket of his coat, pulling free a single, unspent shell casing.

Not exactly what I wagered a Centurion's duty would be... he mused inwardly, casually rolling that heavy casing along his palm. Glancing at the stacks of papers from the corner of his eye, he snorted derisively, resisting the urge to sweep them clean from his desk. How many lives could he ever save, stuck in this damnable office, filling out report after report?

Glancing down through the reinforced glass, he took a moment to watch the Citadel - countless Charr, machines and beasts of burden working toward the betterment of the Legions. Every single one, built and trained for war. Returning his attention to the papers littering his desk, he begrudgingly sighed, "Even the paperwork has its place. Though I wager it would do better in a furnace.."
