Logically its possible, I would think there is a percent chance that they would be. Even then it may effect certain crew, meaning that the crews efficiency will drop from that to assist in the Yarn's next course of action.
Illogically, the ship itself could be gay. As all ships are women, the ship would get very wet and slippery, causing many problems for the crew.

If they've caught up, perhaps the wind isn't on their side today given that they're one of the fastest ships on the seas... and that ship is bristling with a lot of gunnery. I'd say the best of the 3 provided options is to use the small ship's small size and outmaneuver the larger vessel. Hey, works for me in Sid Meier's Pirates
I propose the option of flying/hiding underneath the larger ship. All their weaponry seems to be on the sides of the ship, so in theory would be relatively safe. From there, perhaps we can stay beneath until this ship approaches the vessel in the distance. . . and sneak out while they deal with one another (or otherwise use a conflict to our advantage).
I'm curious to know why Nox didn't say anything beforehand. Maybe she knows something we don't about that frigate? Probably not. :3
As for my suggestion: Attempt to rendezvous with the vessel in the distance. Maybe they can serve as a distraction. If the frigate's been on your tail for an hour, it can handle a little bit longer.
Nice to see this start up, especially with Nyesha's wardrobe choice.

I count about 27 guns on the frigate's broadside, which makes her something like a 54 gun heavy frigate, if she's not even bigger. A few more guns and I'd call that a ship of the line. By contrast, the Fancy Yarn seems to have only one gun that I've seen so far.
I find it interesting that the frigate (can we get a name for the frigate?) has not run up any flags or attempted to hail the Fancy Yarn in the past hour, unless that time is an exaggeration. I assume they haven't fired any bow chasers because the Fancy Yarn looks like a civilian clipper, and hasn't run up her colours. Whilst technically she should be flying colours and it would be suspicious that she isn't (hence probably why the frigate's taken an interest in the first place), the frigate would probably hold off firing until they could confirm her as a pirate or enemy vessel. That said, they've probably beaten to quarters and are ready for a fight, given the open gun ports.
I think that the Fancy Yarn is severely outclassed and outnumbered. It's entirely possible, even likely that the frigate has a detachment of marines, and it wouldn't surprise me if there were something like 350 souls on board armed with cutlasses, boarding pikes, pistols, muskets with affixed bayonets, dirks and sabres.
Tactical decision? Honestly, 'Set Sails and Flee Valiantly' should have been the order of the day the moment that thing appeared on the horizon. I don't know if they can outrun it now, and fleeing is bound to make them think there's a good reason for chasing.
Firing on the frigate is right out. A crew of three might be able to operate one small gun, and I'm not even sure where Marl is attempting to place it. Really it should be tied down, otherwise the recoil is just going to make it jump back and go rolling off if it's not properly secured. Even if they're a well-trained gunnery team, one shot every 2 minutes won't do, and I'm giving an approximate guess for that fire rate. Order Marl to stow it away right now.
Outmaneuver? I'm not sure what you have in mind. I can tell you larger vessels may have some trouble coming about, so if there's something you want to try to get a head start on fleeing, sure. But again, fleeing is something that should have been done the moment that frigate was on the horizon. Allow me to suggest an alternative.
First off, PUT THE CANNON AWAY MARL. And hope they didn't see that. This option involves some deception.
The Fancy Yarn should have a flag locker, and if the pirates are smart, they should have the flags of many nationalities, as well as signalling flags. Run up the colours of the frigate's own nationality, or an allied nationality if it suits the situation better (Unfortunately I don't know the specifics of all the islands). Since the frigate hasn't signalled anything (I presume?), signal something along the lines of 'Make Your Intentions Clear', or identify yourself as a civilian clipper. Does the Fancy Yarn have any fake paperwork, so it can operate under a pseudonym? Or is the Fancy Yarn's name not well known enough? If so, you could simply say something like 'Clipper Fancy Yarn Out of Port X to Port Y, 21 days'. Again, I don't know your precise geography.
If you can make the frigate lose interest by signalling that the Fancy Yarn's voyage is a mundane routine trip and doesn't need investigating, perhaps they'll just let you go. If the frigate isn't convinced, they might order you to stop, in which case prepare to do some fast talking. Given how suspicious your crew already looks, I would suggest doing as much fast-talking via signalling as possible.
Of course I could have completely misinterpreted something while writing this, so I don't mind discussing any point I've made. I'm just very excited to see this going!

Addenda: Sleeping on watch, as I presume Nyesha did, is punishable by death or any punishment that fits the situation, at least by the standards of the Royal Navy. Since Nyesha is a third of the crew, I recommend leniency. However, such negligence is poor discipline and ought to be punished at an appropriate time later.
Also, I neglected to mention words like 'Fancy' or 'Yarn' might not be in a signalling flag code book. In such situations, it is possible to spell out a word with flags acting as letters, like 'F A N C Y Y A R N'. Note though this takes longer, so try and stick to brief messages.
Also, I assume that this frigate already has her colours displayed, as Nox referred to it as a 'Summit' frigate, and I thought that to be a nationality rather than a type of ship. I also assume it is a navy warship, given the implications of the word 'frigate' and that it is such a large ship. If I am mistaken and she has not been identified, I would still recommend a signal like 'State Your Intent', which is also briefer than my previous suggestion.

Well... you've certainly summarized the situation quite eloquently. ^^ Hopefully all your flag-related questions will be answered soon, but I will go ahead and tell you that in Areth the Summit is such a well-known and prolific organization that their warships rarely feel the need to run any flags. As for why the Fancy Yarn isn't, well pirates only run flags when they have to. It would appear in this situation that they were caught off guard.
