Michelle been his friend since they were both very young. Their lives have been intertwined, sharing much of their time together. They used to be very similar in their interests, she staying true to her roots of science-fiction and comic books. Though in the past few years, Chanse has become more distant from the same past loves.

His mind wanders on a dark horizon that only he sees. She tries to comfort him, hoping brightly that she'll have her best [...only] friend back, her faith in such a hope never wavering.

In beginning to mature, she has learned to become self-demeaning, scared of her appearance and popularity in comparison to other girls at their academy. In this, she does find comfort in Chanse, as he has never called her unattractive or undesirable [... to her face].

But something has begun to form in the maturing Chanse as well. While his mind is focused on shadows, his heart has begun to lust. An obsession has formed on a certain girl at school. Lacking the courage or social graces to do anything about these feelings, he allows himself to be torn down by feelings of inadequacy.

She wants to help him in any way she can to make him happy again, even if it means helping him with his strange crush.
