Sometimes being the Water Caster doesn't mean you can predict the moods of the clouds above you. Lauren and Topaz take refuge under a tree as a downpour begins in the middle of their run through the park. Topaz kicks off her sneakers and relaxes, enjoying the break, while Lauren tries to debate if she can control the water enough to keep them dry during the rest of their run, or if they should just wait here.

They could be in a ring...better yet they could be eating at a table. A good conversation becomes a bit competitive as words exchange. Words turn into emotion, Topaz kicks off her shoes and it's paws vs hooves. Socks or nylons is requested (depending on the scenery) but is under the descresion of the artist.
Aw, well Topaz looks so happy with break-time that it would be a pity to disturb her. Let the cat take a break and just enjoy the rain. Though I will say that it would be pretty handy to be able to control water enough to be able to walk through a rainstorm without getting wet. Especially on those really windy days where umbrellas just get turned inside out.
The art is really cute, and the girls are adorable. It's kind of interesting to see a furry character wear shoes, too. Most of my characters are meant to wear sandals, or something akin the Roman caligae in the case of soldiers or people, such as mountaineers or foundry workers, who might want a bit of extra protection for their feet. Something I should try to get actually shown more often.

This is one of my favorite pictures of my girls. I love how sexy Lauren looks in Talwyn exercise clothes. ;) Plus the bright eyes are so pretty... :) I bet they got lots of stares when they go running in the park. :) Odds are Lauren will wait out the rain under the shelter of the leaves. :) Though Lauren probably could keep dry in a rainstorm odds are she'd think of that as improper use of her powers, and would instead let herself get wet, hehe.
I used to always avoid shoes, preferring to see feet paws or hooves, but these days I really enjoy them. I used to toy around with the idea that the military horses were the ones that would wear horse shoes as a way to identify them, though I never really did anything with that concept. Never found the right setting. I imagine that especially in cities furry characters might wear foot protection with the hard pavement and such.
