Yep, finally got around to trying out Skylanders, and let me tell you: the game is no joke like some may tell you. It's actually a pretty well made game, at least the one I have for the XBox 360. I only have the three starters: Spyro, Trigger Happy, plus a special see-through version of Gill Grunt.
Anyway, I was thinking lately about my own Skylanders characters, and I wanted to make one for each type. I still have to work out a few, though, and I have no idea what my Air Skylander will look like. I started with my two favorite ideas: Miss Squall and Lockjaw.
Name: Miss Squall
Element: Water
Description: She is a mysterious witch who rides a furious whirlpool on land. She can create great waves from her whirlpool with enough force to wipe away small creatures.
Abilities:
1: (Tidal Wave) She can use her whirlpool to send arcing waves at her opponents in close quarters.
2: (Whirlpool Waves) She can shoot small whirlpools at enemies. Not as fast as other projectiles, but a bit stronger and can be shot in a greater succession than some.
Basic Upgrades
1: (Guiding Torrents) Miss Squall's Whirlpool Waves now arch inward towards enemies, increasing chances of hitting an enemy a bit.
2: (Splashdown) Miss Squall's Tidal Wave gets bigger and does more damage.
3: (Under the Sea) She can sink into her whirlpool and move along the ground to easily avoid enemies. She can only do this for a limited time, and has a bit of cool-down after the move is finished.
4: (Double Whammy) Miss Squall can now summon two whirlpools at a time.
"Crashing Waves" Upgrades
1: (Stormy Weather) Miss Squall's waves surround her entirely, giving her the ability to attack opponents behind her.
2: (Wave of Mutilation) Miss Squalls Tidal Waves are larger more so and stronger.
3: (Splashdown) Miss Squall can summon whirlpools in her path while using "Under the Sea." The whirlpools aren't too strong, but can deal damage while keeping Miss Squall invulnerable.
"Sailor's Warning" upgrades.
1: (Whirlpool War) Whirlpools deal more damage, and curve farther.
2: (Raging Waves) Miss Squall can charge up a bit to summon a huge whirlpool. This whirlpool goes across the ground, stops for a moment, and releases smaller whirlpools that circle around it for a few seconds.
3: (Dive! Dive!) Miss Squall can use "Under the Sea" longer.
Soul Gem: (Monsoon) Miss Squall can charge up energy while using "Under The Sea" and release a large wave upon coming up from the ground. This move increases cool-down time, however.
Personal Quotes: (None. She speaks with strange noises.)
Giants Catch Phrase: "Rapid destruction!"
Quigley Quote: "Are you a good witch or a bad witch?"
Other: Miss Squall is loosely based off of the mythical being Charybdis.
Name: Lockjaw
Element: Tech
Description: Lockjaw is an armored hippo who is skilled at craftsmanship. He can make dangerous toys that power up with wind-up keys, much like his armor.
Abilities:
1: He summons wind-up toys in the shape of Lockjaw's head that home in on the enemy for a short period of time.
2: He can shoot mechanical keys. Not too powerful on their own, sadly.
Basic Upgrades:
1: (Productivity) Lockjaw summons two toys at his aid.
2: (Toymaking Is Key) Lockjaw can hit certain objects with his keys and turn them into wind-up toys that will swiftly home in on the enemy.
3: (Trap Door Unlocked) He waits for enemies to attack him while he has his mouth open. If an enemy attacks him, he loads them in his mouth, and a key appears near his nose. He can spit these enemies out as strong projectiles. This can counter ANY physical attack, including Terrafins body slam.
4: (Locksmith Special) Lockjaws keys are now stronger.
"March of the Soldiers" upgrades:
1: (Mass Productivity) Lockjaw can summon three toys at a time.
2: (Careful! They Bite!) Lockjaw's toys clamp onto targets with potential to deal more damage.
3: (Defect) Lockjaws toys blow up when attacked or when they run their course.
"Open Sesame" upgrades:
1: (Hungry Hungry Hippo) Lockjaw can swallow multiple targets at a time.
2: (Teething) Lockjaw nibbles on his subject a little while in his mouth, dealing an additional few points of damage.
3: (Secret Gate) Using his key attack, Lockjaw can charge up and summon a huge key that lobs and spins on the floor, dealing lots of damage to anyone who runs into it.
Soul Gem: (Everyone Wants One) Lockjaw can summon a whopping FIVE toys at a time.
Personal Quotes: "Toys for Bob!" "March my soldiers!" "Confidence is KEY!" "Open sesame! (When opening an elemental gate.)" "Lockjaw's toys are the best in the world!"
Giants Catch Phrase: "Confidence is key!"
Quigley Quote: "Can I play with one of your toys? Please?"
Other: Lockjaw is sort of like a Wind-Up toy. He also, literally, has a "Lock-Jaw." Based on a hippo, the animal with one of the biggest mouths.
Edit: Updated Miss Squall's data. Will do others later.
Edit: Updated Lockjaw's data. Still a few to go.
