Here's an updated in-progress shot of this bracer that I'm working on. I gave it another coat of green, then started forming the scales up. And they're looking really good. I'm getting pretty excited about this.

This is still drying, but once the leather isn't wet through anymore I'll seal it up with a matte clear coat, then I'll figure out if I can get grommets into it. (You can see the holes where they'll go on the bottom edge.)

I'm a tad worried about the grommets because this leather is a bit thicker than the grommets are really intended for. So I'll see how that goes. If the grommets don't work out, I'll do something different. Probably involving riveting on some little tabs with loops.

Anyway, if this works out I'll be putting up a listing for these on Etsy in the next couple of days. I'm not sure about price yet, probably between $45 and $60 each.
