This is Tavros! My first buck that I harvested :D
My Dad and I were drawn in a raffle to hunt at Garner state park in the hill country. Most of the bucks were small, due to the fact that they don't feed them special feed to promote antler growth or anything. The game wardens had sightings of one relatively large buck, and he just happen to stumble upon the area where Dad and I were hunting c:
I really wish that Dad could see him though, he was really looking forward to seeing the finished taxidermy :s
We got Hill Country Taxidermy http://www.hillcountrytaxidermist.com/ to work on him, he's absolutely beautiful and the fur stayed soft after it was tanned, unlike a couple of other mounts that we had other taxidermy shops work on
