The heat of summer had struck, and Lauren was dressed in shorts and a small top. It was just modest enough to cover her but not too much which might make her hot. She arrived just as Yuri had started to mix the soap and water.

"Perfect timing," he said, as he threw in two sponges which soaked up water and sank to the bottom.

"I came as soon as I'd settled on something to wear." Lauren turned around for him. "You like?"

He seemed to stumble over himself for a moment before he leaned down to pick up a sponge and squeeze the excess water back into the bucket. "Um, yes, it's very summer-y." He started to cover the car with suds, keeping his front lower half away from her.

She attempted to peek several times, but Yuri always managed to move away just in time. Lauren picked up the other sponge and dabbed the sides of the car slowly. They worked together to give the car its first coat. Lauren picked up the hose and rinsed the car in even motions back and forth, and held her finger over the end for a moment. "Yuri..."

"What?"

"Missed a spot!" She released her finger and sprayed the tiger with a jet of cold water, soaking his shirt and chest. He held up his paw to deflect some of the water, but he'd already been covered from head to toe. "I'm sorry, I couldn't resist."

Yuri shivered as he wrung out his shirt. He would get her back, eventually.
