Little preview from the first ever story of Semper Fi, titled The Silver Sword. The first episode is currently being created, will span 8 pages and focus on four heroes of the cast of thirteen - Vartan, Sara, Scorpius and Norbert.
We are also very proud to announce that the talented Neriel (NerielMi at DeviantArt) agreed to do the coverwork for the episode.
Unfortunately, there is no deadline yet, because both myself and Nigerfur are falling short on free time. But we are slowly and steadilly forging forward! So keep your fingers crossed for us :)
Will be scrapped later.

No. I know Semper Fi is Marine motto, but the corps have nothing to do with this story, besides Vartan being ex-military. The retrieval team just has some simple utility gear consisting of a vest and some other practical pieces, but are not part of any kind of military faction.
Hmm. While I'm certainly un-inclined to make demands of anyone, I think it might perhaps be wise to consider changing the title then. Te Marine Corps motto carries a lot of weight and tradition with us, and using it for an unrelated story could come across as a little insulting to some.
Well, despite having no military background myself, I know enough not to treat the soldiers mottos and vows lightly - I respect the Corps motto just the same as I hold "Dum spiro, spero" of local special tasks group in high regard.
That said, however, I'm also aware that the phrase "Semper Fidelis" is not Marine Corps exclusive and is historically tied to many kinds of both military and non-militery service. Various armies, noble families and even knights used those words to state their loyalties and bounds to their service, with the oldest records going at least to 16th century, possibly even further. And since in our story, loyalty to the cause is an important story piece, neither myself nor Nigerfur feel like changing the title.
