Riser is the male lead protagonist of Elementia Chronicles. Riser Alpine Mitsukye is of English and italian descent, 18 years old, and was born with type 2 albinism. He's got a kind-hearted, easygoing, and eccentric personality. His sometimes aloof nature often leads people to believe that he is an idiot but that's not quite the case... he's just a bit unfocused. He is also a skilled artist and enjoys metal, comics, and cigarettes.

Riser is surprisingly strong as a result of working for years as a blacksmith's apprentice. He weilds a sword that once belonged to his father, his unpredictable style making up for his lack of skill. He can fire a destructive blast of concentrated mana, though doing so repeatedly wears him out. He is the human vessel for the demon lord Wrath, who tries to exploit Riser's emotions to cause harm to those around him. This once led him to nearly rape Kurika.
