THE GARGOYLE WAS ALIVE! It whipped around on me and with an angry shriek, he engulfed me in an eerie energy!
In my shock I dropped the spray paint can and was about reach for it, when... MY HAND! I looked at my fingers in shock as I saw what was now a gargoyle's hand much like his, yet a somehow pleasing light turquoise color. Before I knew it, my other hand began changing, too; the clothes melting into nothingness as if they had never been there! In my embarrassment I tried to cover myself and hold the last remnants of my coat on my back, but that's when I fully transformed.
My new wings burst forth, ripping the last tattered bits of my coat to shreds! It had happened... I had... I had become a gargoyle!
I stared at the grey gargoyle in shock and dismay. Somehow, the foremost feeling going through my mind was not fear or confusion, but rather a profound
sense of guilt that I ever could have considered defacing the gargoyle sitting in front of me. Even more than my new form, that seemed of the highest
importance.
I apologized to him! I told him that I didn't know what I had been about to do. His answer was simple. He made it clear that I would have plenty of time
to sit and think about what I had been about to do. I knew what that meant. My new instincts were absolutely impossible to resist, now. Because I was one
of his kind. From now on.
Sitting on the roof all day isn't easy, you know. Sitting there with nothing to do until sunset was never exactly my idea of a good time. But I think that
now I'm beginning to get used to it. Maybe this won't be so bad after all.

This was one of the comics I wanted to do when I STARTED my vacation, but a lot of things kept getting in the way. I've been sitting on the lineart for a couple of weeks now, but I finally got a chance to put in a marathon session on it today and finish it all. I'm really very happy with how it all turned out, too. I got to practice on human beings more (which I still need to do), got to make new characters of my own creation and style, and I got to tell a TF story, which is one of my favorite things. I am also happy with how the shading, the shadows, the background interaction, and the atmosphere turned out.
Ultimately, this was VERY fun. Expect to see more of these at some point. =)
