Inspired by the song "Dark Waltz" by Hayley Westenra:
We are the lucky ones
We shine like a thousand suns
When all of the colour runs together
I'll keep you company
In one glorious harmony
Waltzing with destiny forever
Dance me into the night
Underneath the full moon shining so bright
Turning me into the light
Time dancers whirling past
I gaze through the looking glass
And feel just beyond my grasp is heaven
Sacred geometry
Where movement is poetry
Visions of you and me forever
Dance me into the night
Underneath the full moon shining so bright
Turning me into the light
Dance me into the night
Underneath the full moon shining so bright
Let the dark waltz begin
Oh let me wheel - let me spin
Let it take me again
Turning me into the light
It made me think of a bond of love that extends beyond death, hence the stylized glowy blank lover. (drawing spirits is hard, I couldn't decide whether to fill him in with detail or not, but I liked the contrast of her corporeal form and his almost-tangible self so I just outlined.) Since it is a waltz, I put her in a long flowy dress with her hair pulled back. This is probably the only time I'll ever say this but I'm not sure I like the way the hair turned out. There are a couple anatomy quirks but I'm content overall. Lots of symbolism and stuff, the words across the side read "How precious was that while."
