Guess I failured with explaining:) It should looks like "judged not by efforts, but by appearance", but there was one more negative, so....
I mean you can put much time and efforts at something, but if you fail with the result, nobody will be delighted.

I see what you mean, at the same time i dislike it when people are just naturally great at something and spend like 10 minutes not caring and make something they get tons of praise and money for, i think it's more of a balancing act between effort and appearance. ^.^

All that hullabaloo aside this is still a nice piece no matter what effort is put in it or why, i'm so glad you enjoyed making it too! That's the best part! <3 ^.^

I don't know any kind of creative work that don't need much work;) Even if you have a great talent for something, you still need a great work to develop it. And people, who can draw a masterpiece in 10 minutes, spent hours, days and years when learned to do so.

Not all of them, there are people out there who can see a building, then draw it out in 10 minutes, incredible detail and everything, with no practice, it's like those child prodigy things. o.o

I saw similar things, but the child learned to do it. And a 9 years old girl had wonderful pencil still lifes.

I'm sure, like Woodsplitterlee, she puts a lot of work into her stuff, but it's all prodigy, and on the other example it was a huge episode thing about the kid and his gifts.

Yes but read her story, she started out about as good as she is now, she explained everything to us about how she just picked up the clay and made amazing things without even practicing or messing up or anything. Suddenly everyone wanted her to make them dolls.

But I guess she needs quite much time to make them. It's also an experience. And some people can make them quick, but after many learning or with their great experience.

It's great, but I don't think it's "wrong". And I'm pretty sure first her sculptures took much more time than next:) True, some things people can just do without any training, but usually first tries need more efforts and time.

Oh i never meant to come off as saying any of it was wrong, just that i dont think people should be judged on quality alone. >.< I'm one of those people that says "well at least you tried" X3 Cause I like when people feel that something is worth the effort, gives that warm fuzzy feeling.

I agree, every effort deserves "well, at least you tried", but the result is still important:) And I'm afraid now I'm at the "at least I tried" point with my works:)
