The real highlight of the FBA All-Star Weekend, by foxenawol
The 2013 FBA All-Star Weekend was one of big stories and high drama. From several surprises in the team lineups to shocking upsets in the dunk contests to the locker room struggles between players who had until then not been forced to play nice. From the moment the players stepped into the arena until after they left, the media was left with no shortage of material to cover.
What was missed, however, was what went down before the game.
On Thursday night, after the players arrived and settled into their hotels, several decided to hit the town. What started as a few drinks between peers quickly escalated into a night drunken debauchery and irresponsibility that would have been a full blown scandal... had any of the media had the foresight to arrive early.
The next morning, memories half dissolved, a Twitter frenzy erupted as the players attempted to piece the night back together and locate one another. Some were in bedrooms they didn't recognize, one woke up nude on a roof, and another in a casino across the state's southern border. It was a mad dash to collect themselves and ask the question, "what the HELL happened last night??" After recharging the batteries on their cell phones, several pictures popped up to help fill in the details. In the interest of protecting their careers, the group agreed to delete them.
...so they said.

The FBA All-Star weekend was a hell of a lot of fun, in no small part because of a massive Twitter RP that played out, starting Thursday night and ending mid-afternoon on Friday, among six of us who had characters involved. What started out as a quick "hey heading to the bar with xxxxxx who else is in?" quickly blew up into a Hangover-like catastrophe. After the storm died down, I looked back at the MOUNTAIN of tweets that had been fired around and said "yep, this has to be immortalized", and almost immediately commissioned
Foxena, the author of the
Bikers comic (where you can see some of the in-game drama that played out!).

Nina Lime (@Nina_Lime) laughing at the idiots before heading home early.
Redawn Fenwatcher (@Redawnballer) drinking a bambrew and getting her butt signed.
Kinny DeMarcus (@KinnyDeMarcus) signing said butt.
Daniel Quvianuq (@DanQBlizzard) with some bar skank.
All of this made possible thanks to
BuckHopper and his behemoth creation, the Furry Basketball Association.
