Meet Fiona, the cream-colored skunk.
I've had her concept drawn up on a scrap piece of paper in my desk drawer since this past September, but haven't really felt like doing anything with her until recently. I've been needing a break from ponies and she was the perfect solution for me.
I love this picture. I spent a lot of hours perfecting it. I plan on putting up a step-by-step WIP sheet. I took lots of screen shots of this pic while I was working on it, asking lots of different people along the way how it was looking, so there's a lot to show!

Expect to see more of her. I really like her design and am really liking the practice I'm gaining from this. I plan on doing a flat-color turn around sheet for her in the future in case anyone should need it for drawing etc. Her markings will also be a lot more clear in the turn around versus this picture here.

Yeah, ponies aren't really for everyone. I've been into horses since I was about 2 years old, so mlp was a natural thing for me to like growing up and so forth. I love pretty much any kind of animal though! I just felt it was time for me to branch out some more. You can only draw the same kind of thing for so long before you get bored and need to try something new.

Ah, I misremember now. I love horses, they are beautiful they just scare the -eeepp- out of me and I'm 62! I understand about the character thing, I am a science fiction writer, I started dabbling in Anthro's because I was tired of the Trekkies claiming 'The Enterprise could wipe that ship out in a second.' Um, I wasn't writing in the Enterprise universe, or the... You catch my drift I hope.
She is very beautiful, I hope that one day you write a non-Xadult story about her. I'd love to read it. And those Elizabeth Taylor eyes of hers are... are.. are.... duhhhhhhhhhhhh
