Hehe, just a reference to Slam Dunk, a manga and anime that I really like, even my dad in his fifties got hooked to it. It's about basketball, and the main character, a teenage misfit who enters the basketball team only because a cute girl thinks he'd be a good player and he wants to impress her. He doesn't know a thing about basketball, but as the series progresses, he shows a lot of raw, incredible potential.

The reference being that he often calls himself a tensai, which basically means someone who is so talented at something that he's a genius at it, so he's quite a showoff. Which makes me wonder which of these guys is the basketball tensai. ^_^

if they are water based markers you might try a qtip with a tiny bit of water for some smoothing, for closer work you can use some artist tools like a charcoal smoother, they are sometimes made of paper and would hold moisture but have the pointed tip for closer work.
this can also be used to help blend some colors to smooth color transitions.

Hm, I believe I used Prismacolors...I'll have to check what type they are.
Also keep in mind this was originally an 11x17 page, so that's a LOT of area to cover ^ ^;;
