Lothar hasn't changed at all, his design and character are still the same as they were when he was originally conceived. His only change is that his character and background story are a bit more developed now, giving him motives and desires instead of just a sum of character traits.

He's everything you expect from an otter. He's the staff optimist and everlasting source of good humor. Also, his darkest and most terrible secret is that he still cries when watching Bambi.

He's a movie fan and fanatic, often annoying or amusing (or both) his colleagues with quotes and shout-outs.

Lothar's vanilla theme was "As above, so below", concentrating on creatures that need both water and earth to live and tangling with the synergy between both elements that in the end need each other to be more than a barren wasteland devoid of life. (Also, cool excuse for me to finally draw lots of mangrove trees. Mangrove trees are awesome).

He's versatile, but knows well that there are better handlers both above and below the water surface.

Also, it's not healthy to draw otters. Instead of drawing, you spend hours ogling loads of reference photos with cute otter kits.
