Cale had been feeling quite...alone, of late. He didn't quite have the funds to return to the Amazon to visit his family and there were scant few gargoyles in the city. Luckily, his master had just come into a strange device that could imprint a species, then produce a candy that transformed the consumer into that species, as if they'd been born that way.

Cale felt a little guilty as he pressed his hand against the machine and picked up the dispensed candy. His friend Sammy was coming over to visit and he figured he'd just slip it to him. His master could probably fix it, right?

The two hung out and played video games and watched youtube videos for a few hours before Cale offered him the candy. Sammy took it and started eating, unaware of its supernatural nature. Cale waited eagerly, anxious to see what it would do. Sammy was a pretty scrawny human, so he'd probably end up being a runt like Cale.
