The Fates can be kind. The Fates can be cruel. The Fates can give you life, and just as easily take it away... but all relies upon the Winds of Change.

His birth was guided by the hand of fate, though he was defective. A mistake in creation, a hiccup in the breath of wind that composes all life, and a spark from the ever-burning flame that forges the body. Zephyr Flare.

A shapeshifter, beyond simple mortality, but not immortal in any sense of the word, he lives endlessly by using his ability to keep himself young and healthy, until the day his life is forcibly taken by something he cannot control.

It's been 169 years since his birth, and time and time again, life to life, place to place, he's rode the very Winds of Change themselves alone, bringing love, lust, chaos and hatred to where he treads, simply because of the winds themselves.

However... During his time as a resident in a more peaceful world, he found one much like himself. One who shared his abilities, but had yet to discover herself.

Another of creation's defects, the counterpart to his own flaws. A woman with a body created from the strong, rich earth, and veins filled with pure, life-sustaining water. Terra Aquis.

A friendship created. A bond formed. Fates entwined, secrets shared, and connections made. A love, pure, strong, and unending... Lone wolves no longer, they travel the winds of change together.
