My art tablet came in yesterday. Starting to learn how to use it along with Krita has brought on feelings I haven't had in a long time. I have been very excited to draw. I drew all the time in middle and high school. Drawing in class was how I coped with my very unstable household. I absolutely hated being at school. I was the weird kid and I was bullied a lot. I drew wolves stuck full of arrows or wolves straining on the end of a chain to express myself. It was also cry for help. When I got myself into a pretty awful living situation (even worse than my situation at home) at the end of my high school career, I stopped drawing. I was in that horrible situation for six years and my creativity completely died. I was just surviving every single day for years. I stopped drawing. It wasn't until 2020 that I got away from that situation and started healing. Regarding drawing, sometimes I feel like that healing has come with a cost. I am the happiest I've ever been. My mind is the clearest it has ever been. I'm excited about life. I'm thinking about my future (a huge reason I've been trying to get better at art in the first place!!). However......... I have NO idea what I like to draw anymore! Or how to draw it (especially with digital tools lol)!! Right now the blank canvas is scary but I'm hopping back in the saddle every single day and learning something new!! I cannot wait to start posting my digital art here.

My partner and I are fully plunging into our move overseas now and I can only draw a little bit every day until we're settled.
