Hope for Forgiveness
In 2023, as many of you may recall, a talented user known as Rizzo, or zdog909, left FA.
Rumors have swirled that I was the reason for their departure.
Today, I want to address those rumors head-on and provide clarity for those who’ve wondered about the truth.
The assumptions are, in fact, true.
I played a role in zdog909’s decision to leave FA, though it was never my intention.
My actions, driven by a desire to help, inadvertently caused harm.
I want to share the full story, not to excuse my mistakes, but to own them and express my deepest regret.
It all started when I noticed one of my favorite works by zdog909—a captivating story and artwork featuring a Salazzle named Seara—had vanished from FA. Concerned, I reached out to them directly to understand what happened.
They were kind enough to respond with honesty, explaining that they had lost all copies of the piece.
The details of our conversation are private, and I respect zdog909’s privacy too much to share them here.
Wanting to do something meaningful, I took it upon myself to recover their lost work.
After some effort, I found it on FurArchiver and wanted to sent it to them, hoping it would bring them joy.
But in my eagerness to help, I overstepped.
I didn’t realize at the time how my actions might have come across, and instead of gratitude, my persistence led to discomfort.
Before I knew it, zdog909 had blocked me across all platforms and, ultimately, left FA entirely.
Looking back, I see where I went wrong.
I should have respected their boundaries and backed off when I had the chance.
My intentions were good, but good intentions don’t erase the impact of my mistakes.
What I did was thoughtless, and I deeply regret the pain it caused—not just to zdog909, but to the community that cherished their presence.
To those who feel anger or disappointment toward me, I understand.
My actions contributed to the loss of a valued member of this community, and that’s a weight I carry.
To zdog909, if you ever see this, I am profoundly sorry.
I never meant to push you away or make you feel disrespected.
My only hope is that, in time, you and others might find it in your hearts to forgive me.
I’m sharing this not to seek sympathy, but to take accountability and to show that I’m committed to learning from my mistakes.
Thank you for hearing me out.
