Hey there, I'm Shamus. Aspiring writer, professional lurker, chaotic fox person with an affinity for wind and blustery weather. I've been a member of the furry community for about 20+ years now. I am slow to change, but enthusiastic about embracing change when it happens. I enjoy spending time with friends and chatting, even if it's about nothing in particular. An avid hater of large crowds, because I like to give people undivided attention, I am still working my way up to going to Anthrocon, but I have attended every year of Furry Connection North and Motor City Fur Con. I love to laugh, so if you want to get on my good side, humor is always appreciated.

Takeaways from 2018 (G)

It's almost time for the new year, and this is the time where people start thinking about new year's resolutions. I'm going to do the same. But in order to do that, I think I need to reflect on what 2018 has taught me.
2018 has taught me:
Sometimes doing things you've never tried before can teach you new things about yourself.
Your true friends will never truly abandon you.
Not everyone you feel strong feelings for will feel the same way as you. You need to know when to move on.
Pay attention to the past. But take care not to live in it.
Take the time to meet new people. Don't shortchange yourself on opportunities.
Don't take someone's problems for granted. What might seem like an easy solution to you might be more complicated for another. Every action has a consequence, sometimes unforeseen ones.
Don't worry about the things you can't control. Deal with the things you can.
2018 has taught me:
