For some time, I've been getting worn down by the pressures of work/life balance. I know it goes back at least to October, possibly as few back as May of last year, when I was struggling with the Argent comic. The past few weeks with my new job have been especially bad for me. I've been increasingly wrestling with internal thoughts and conflicting desires. When I try to keep my obligations on my projects, I feel listless and without enough energy to work on them. Yesterday saw me at my nadir, when I couldn't focus on drawing because I wanted to write so badly. And not just write, but draw other things besides the Costume Party sequence, which continues to take longer than usual.

Costume Party has 3 pages left, but it is going on hiatus for the time being, so that I can focus on smaller works and images. I hope to continue it before the year ends, but I don't want to give a firmer date than that. I need this break for myself more than anything.
