This Journal is dedicated to information regarding my Scratchboard art.


Lets Start with, What is a Scratchboard?

A scratchboard is a Clay board painted black. I use a knife, and occasionally other tools, to scratch away the black paint to reveal the white underneath. It's technically the opposite of normal black and gray art because I'm creating the negative (white) space. Due to that uniqueness of this medium, for the foreseeable future I will not be making replicas/duplicates - but I will be looking into making prints available of future boards.

Next, Let's Talk Money

I currently charge:
• $25 an hour
• Cost of the Board
• Cost of 2 Blades
• Cost of Pastel
• Cost of Microfiber Cloth
• Cost of the Frame

On Average:
• 5x7 or 6x6 = 8 to 14 Hours
• 8x10 = 10 to 16 Hours
• 11x14 or 12x12 = 18 to 33 Hours

Payment is preferred through PayPal so I can better keep track of all my transactions and also update your shipping.
However, I will also accept CashApp, or Cash if delivered in person.
