I will admit, my start to 2025 was a slow one, but it took off in the later months up until December! All in all, I’m glad I did so much work! I’m putting down my favorite pieces of each month as a sort of year in review. Enjoy!

January
This was the start of a year-long story and illustration project. As 2025 was the year of the Snake according to the Chinese Zodiac, I wanted to make something for that and I managed to create a new world with her as one of the main characters. As her part in the story is over, she’ll now only make cameos in further writings.

February
This was one where I tried having a Naga do something sexy with her tail and coiling the object of their affection seemed like the obvious way to go. It was good practice for coiling images.

March
I was inspired by the Amy Blackrose designs of Nico-Neko on Deviantart. But where Nico’s outfit was to match the blackness in their Amy’s soul thanks to her world being destroyed, I made it so that Amy was experimenting with goth outfits as she traveled with my fan incarnation of the Doctor. I also saw this as an excuse to make a skirt that would emulate an opened rose.

April
This was the introduction of Bea Cottonhop Goldcoil, the adopted daughter of Ssylphiel. I wanted to try and make a bamboozled expression as I felt like I haven’t done that enough. It was also a chance for me to try and draw a child. As it was April and I wanted to do something that wasn’t April Fool’s Day related, I made Bea into a bunny person.

May
Madame Calliope has become my go-to sea witch and I wanted to do a story of a deal going right. I threw in a boyfriend for her in the process and I felt like this was where Calliope and her future boyfriend, Lukas, really got their relationship started, when they took a bath together and were comfortable with it.

June
This was my first foray into the Magical Girl genre. As a fan of Sailor Moon, I wanted to try my hand at the whole star-spanning epic of teenage girls dressing in cute outfits and saving the universe with their magic. This was also where I started trying various body shapes, with Ruby being average for her height, Yazmyn being skinny, and Bethany being plump.

July
Continuing with the Cosmic Roses, I wanted to add more to the group and created these three. I wanted to indicate that they were a higher rank, so I tweaked the skirts and hair roses. I especially like Gabi’s pose as she’s the Fluttershy of the group.

August
This was one of four pictures that spawned the universe of the Crino-astrans with High Queen Kai Honey-rose and her best friend, Ursa Snowstar. I’m obsessed with huge dresses and roses in hair, so I built a world based on that. I made it so that they’re aware of activity going on in our galaxy, hence why they’re watching the episode that hooked me on Doctor Who.

September
During this time, I came up with a rule that a typical Crino-astran family starts with five women and one man. I also decided that the men dressed as the ladies, complete with the size of the dresses and the roses in their hair. It was nice to make these lovely men!

October
This was an experiment on transparent layers and how well they would work if stacked on top of one another. I’d say I did well here! I also improved on making a guinea pig girl compared to the one I made before her.

November
I’m sure you’ve guessed that I like a lady with a rose in her hair, so I figured “why not have an incarnation of the Doctor try it out?” I got the inspiration from a picture I had in a digital coloring book and made an outfit that suited the new Doctor well!

December
The last of Ssylphiel’s illustrations for her main story, I wanted to do something wholesome and give everyone the idea that they knew we were getting glimpses into their world. Those glimpses will continue, just not as elaborately as Ssylphiel or Calliope’s stories were.
