Hello watchers! Hope all your holidays went well and best wishes for a great 2026!

New Years seems like a good time to mention what's been going on with my novels, since everyone likes to do the "end of the year recap" thing...

In the first half of the year I managed to finish the first draft of novel #1! Good news indeed! Then I read through everything and determined that the first 2/3rds needs to be rewritten almost entirely.  I started this in 2019, and in that time I've both gotten better at writing and come up with much better ideas for a deeper, more interesting story. It's not a complete wash though, as I went through and made myself a short summary of plot points from draft 1. Some things will be removed, some will be kept, and some will get improved upon. The basic outline is pretty close to what the final version will look like though. I took a bunch of time off work in December, hoping to get some writing done. Unfortunately, I picked up some sort of nasty cold from the relatives and haven't done much of anything since... 😵

I've also commissioned and received a full nude reference for the main character, Freya, from the very talented  INK-SIN! Her soldier uniform is in the works now, so look forward to seeing that posted when it's finished!

In other Furaffinity news, I've revamped my homepage and submissions to bring things in line with the novels. More character ref sheets for "Fuel on Faint Sparks" will be posted as they are finished. I may have adopted 100+ characters over the years, but they are mostly side characters that will appear in books 2, 3 or 4. The book 1 characters are entirely my own creations, and need to be commissioned, since I don't have any art / drawing skills.
