hey folks, high time for a lil journal to accompany art posts - I'm putting up a wave of multi-slot YCHs left over after Patrons picked em over, and I know a lot of ppl are waiting on stuff from me, so I just wanted to stress that I'm giving all new YCHs and commissions a 10-week wait time before I work on them while I continue working on stuff in my queue. I've been spacing apart opening or promoting commissions or YCHs as far as possible to focus more on finishing existing work, but late bills have been beating my ass lately and my credit score has taken some heavy hits as a result so I gotta look for some new work to line up, and I'm hopeful that I can get enough interest despite the wait that I can get some breathing room and lower my stress level a bit. I've been putting myself through the paces with the stamina of my hands and joints, so I've had to be more careful about overworking myself lately and had to learn a lot about stretches & drawing form (don't grind your elbow into your armrest all day, and don't bend your wrist to draw, folks!), which really drove home that I gotta commit to a longer wait time for all new work until I'm more caught up. I'll continue to hustle to the best of my ability within the limits my hands & brain can healthfully tolerate though! Part of my optimism is cause I got moved up to 50mg Vyvanse, and it's been getting me better results more consistently on my art output - i still have lousy days, but more good days than bad lately!

To that end, I've been working on combining a lot of time management techniques, and I'm gonna keep trying to do an Old > Recent > New rotation to my daily art streams, so I can get my oldest commissions wrapped up while also getting at least kinda close to the promised date for my newest stuff before I set up this longer wait time. I'm gonna keep doing my best to keep my public "https://bit.ly/jimbotvguide" well-maintained, so it'll be an accurate guide to my current plans for when to work on pieces and a better idea of how soon I can finish them.

I'll also continue to be deeply sorry for making people wait so much longer than initially promised, but I'm deeply grateful for people's patience to let me finish their work, and I'm optimistic that I can do some serious catching up if I just plant my feet on a longer but more realistic wait time as long as people are still interested. So any favs on my YCH posts would be greatly appreciated too, hoping they find the right people who would still be interested despite the wait! My YCHs are still cheaper than my commissions, fwiw.

Speaking of commissions, I also changed my commission theme discount to 🍑booty gains🍑, i've got fat asses on the brain lately. I'm still open for commissions, they just have the same 10-week wait time - except for Speedpaints, which I can do within 2 weeks, those openings get updated each week!

I've also got the option for a rush fee on my form, if you wanted to get new commissions done sooner than 10 weeks - I'm willing to consider doing things faster if ppl are willing to pay a chunky fee, just so I don't get too many things rushed so as to derail my schedule.

One other note about commissions, I've added the option for private commissions back onto my form with a 10% fee - just a way where I can draw some themes that I might be interested in artistically, but wouldn't want to stream my work on it or post in my gallery, so that's just how I compensate for the loss of faves & shares on new art and the extra effort to focus without having my stream keep me on task. Been cookin up some personal art in the background too, finally reaching some places in my therapy journey where I feel more comfortable sharing more personal stuff I've written and more capable of getting it sketched out on paper... I hope to have some hefty stuff to share just for yuks soon =w=
