Weekly Update! (2026-04-19) Springing Up!

Hello peeps!

Well, taxes are paid, and as much as it hurt, I’m glad that that’s done. We’ve got a lot of commission work coming up, but I’m sure we’ll keep things rolling along now that we’ve recovered somewhat. It’s nice to see things actually getting a chance to get paid off for once, and that fills me with determination enough to see it through.

Along with taking care of business, I’ve also decided to make a concerted effort to work on my comic projects. I enjoy them, so why don’t I do them more? I’m putting them off to focus on work, but I end up going crazy without being able to do something that I want to work on myself.

What am I afraid of? They’re not going to be perfect, but I really do love them, so what’s stopping me? Am I just afraid of not living up to what I think they should be? Maybe, but the great is the enemy of the good, and if I keep waiting until the perfect time to do the perfect thing, it’s never going to happen.

Not only that, but I need to immerse myself more. Inspire myself. Enjoy things again. Indulge in the sorts of things that I find entertaining. If I spend too much time coated in my own work, I’ll run out of juice to make things with! So I need to make myself emotionally available to enjoy things again, and I’ve been doing my best to do that.

So yeah, we’re gonna be trucking along and getting stuff done, and hopefully that’ll lead to bigger and better things soon enough. The weather is getting warmer again (save for a few after-storm cool periods) and the flowers are blooming. Spring is in swing and we’re inching towards the hotter parts of the year.

Let’s enjoy it while we can, because we’ll be sick of it by the time it’s ready for fall to arrive!
