In case anyone saw my journal from the other day, unfortunately our cat Phantom isn't going to make it x-x He apparently has Lymphoma which has led to an intestinal blockage from tumors, the vet gave us some medicine for him that was supposed to shrink the tumors however they haven't had any effect, and they advised us against surgery and chemo as it likely wouldn't really make him live any longer and we didn't want to extend his life by a month or two just to be spending it recovering from surgery... I had no idea he was so sick because up til a few days ago he was acting totally normal x-x
They gave him maybe a month to live and while it's only been a few days since we went, he hasn't been able to 'go' and it's only a matter of time before he suffers intestinal rupture from being backed up so we're going to be putting him down x-x I didn't want to so soon but he's extremely uncomfortable and weak and its not fair to him to wait and see if he'll get better when his prognosis is so bad anyways

I am aware I already am sort of at my limit with stream comms but if anyone is willing to grab a slot so I can afford to get in-home euthanasia tomorrow, it would be greatly appreciated, he gets really sad and scared in the car so we wanted to allow him to peacefully pass at home with family, I also need to be able to get him cremated

I haven't been able to work since the day we went to the vet because I haven't been able to stop crying, this cat means everything to me, I've never had a pet I've been so close with, he's always around us and no matter what we're doing he's always part of it, he takes up such a big part of our lives, and tomorrow he'll be gone x-x I just can't believe it's real, neither me nor Paw know how we're going to make it without him because he's our best friend and he's going to leave such a huge void behind, I never thought it was possible to love a cat so much

To anyone worried or thinking he'll be suffering if nobody grabs a slot, I'll still be getting him euthanized tomorrow regardless but this way I'll be able to afford the in home euthanasia + cremation.
