Lemme start with an image of what I'm working on.

What I'm attempting to do is make an armor set for this model of mine using AW. This is so far proving to be quite a pain. This is the shape of the model translated into something usable for AW.

Now here's the funny part. I've been at this for three hours and I'm only now getting to the part where I can start making the model itself. This chest set on the right took me a little over an hour to do start to finish. The longest anything in AW has taken me before this was a full armor set with a weapon and shield, which took two hours total.
